NECAP Workshop Information

Welcome! Listed below are the dates and times, locations, and registration information of upcoming NECAP Test Coordinator, Test Administrator/Teacher, and other NECAP-related workshops hosted by the Office of Instruction, Assessment, and Curriculum. Please note that only upcoming workshops will be listed below.

The science test will be administered at grades 4, 8, and 11. All schools with these grade levels are required to participate in the assessments, which are scheduled between May 7 and May 24. Test materials will be delivered to your school the week of April 23 and picked up after testing on May 25. The test will include three sessions—the first two are a written component similar to other NECAP tests, and the third is a performance assessment (the Inquiry Task), which is "hands-on" at grade 4. Test administration workshops have been scheduled to help prepare district and school test coordinators for the test. They are scheduled for the following dates and times: (NOTE: Both cover the same material so there is no need to attend both workshops) A recording of the 2012 Science NECAP Test Administration Workshop (WebEx) has been posted on the presentation resources tab.

You may register by going to http://iregister.measuredprogress.org. Select “New England Common Assessment Program” from the drop-down menu and click “Enter.” Next, select the link for the workshop you want to register for and then follow the online directions. On-site registration will also be available on the day of each workshop 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Workshop attendance is strongly encouraged as the latest information on NECAP testing policies and procedures as well as information about test security will be provided.
