News and Public Information

The Department of Education communicates with numerous audiences about education data, policies, and initiatives in Rhode Island. Through press releases, media advisories, publications, messages from the commissioner, and most broadly through our RIDE Web site, the department provides comprehensive information that builds knowledge and support for improving school and student performance.  We hope, through our many channels of communication, to promote understanding for the need for education reform, identify the most critical areas of need, connect people to each other, bring focus to the issues, and celebrate our state and local successes.
