Introduction

Exhibitions are one option that Rhode Island districts and schools can select for their school-wide diploma assessments. Exhibitions are opportunities for students to identify an area of great personal interest and produce physical/written products, oral presentations and in-depth, extended project work in that area. Exhibitions allow students to demonstrate not only that they have mastered deep content knowledge, but also have the ability to apply that knowledge in real-world settings.

The exhibition toolkit is a process-oriented and resource-rich guide to designing, implementing and sustaining an exhibition system that meets all requirements for a Rhode Island school-wide diploma assessment.
