Assessments

Assessments are a way to measure how well students are learning and understanding.  No single approach can provide a comprehensive picture of a student’s progress and achievement.  Educators have a wide range of techniques such as performances, projects, questionnaires, observations, tests, and homework to gather evidence about student learning.  Every classroom needs to use a variety of assessments to help teachers and students identify what is understood and where more teaching is required.
