RIDE hosted the statewide Innovation
Powered by Technology Conference held at
Rhode Island College on February
11, 2012 from 8:00 AM-3:00 PM. National and local guest speakers joined
over 300 Rhode Island educators and interested stakeholders in the conversation about strategies enabling the
next generation
of learning through online and blended learning. The conference
conversation and resources will
support all schools including those interested in applying for the
Model School Grant opportunity open
to public schools in Rhode Island.
It
was clear to me from the conference that Rhode Island is
ready to embrace digital learning – it’s not a question of
“if,” it’s a question of how soon. ~ Commissioner Gist
