  • ESP Solutions Group -  A PK-12 data consulting and technology firm who specializes in education data systems and psychometrics.  Their team is made up of industry experts who pioneered the concept of D3M.  They are regarded as experts in understanding the data and technology implications of the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB), Education Data Exchange Network (EDEN), and the Schools Interoperability Framework (SIF).
  • TetraData - A provider of data warehousing, analysis and reporting solutions for K-12 districts.  Their D3M solution's capture, integrate and store data from administrative and educational systems and deliver comprehensive and customized data analysis and reporting.

What is Data-Driven Decision Making (D3M)?

The Data-Driven Decision Making Education Connection solution represents the collaborative efforts of the D3M Alliance Members -- Microsoft, Choice Solutions, ESP Solutions Group, Edustructures, and TetraData -- to address multiple facets of the education process.  D3M Education Connection provides a secure environment where critical applications are deeply integrated into a single, seamless user interface.

The goal is to deliver to K-12 education agencies a comprehensive solution that addresses enterprise identity management, disparate systems interoperability, vertical reporting, longitudinal data management, etc.  This solution is built using commercial off-the-shelf software (COTS) as well as modules developed specifically to address the unique needs of the K-12 state and local agencies such as Schools InterOperability Framework and student registration systems.
