Ensure Equity and Adequacy of Fiscal and Human Resources

RIDE is committed to making our education system more equitable, effective and efficient. Quite simply, the future of our children and our state depends on it. To realize this goal, RIDE will support districts in their efforts to:

  • Identify and acquire requisite resources to support instructional priorities that meet the identified needs of different groups of students.

  • Allocate fiscal and human resources, including time, based on the needs of students.

  • Coordinate human resources and fiscal resources from local, state, and federal funding streams (Title I, Title II, special education) to meet the prioritized instructional goals.

  • Give schools flexibility in use of resources to meet instructional priorities and that they require budget plans to link expenditures to anticipated outcomes.

  • Provide leadership in the allocation of personal supports and organizational infrastructure so as to build the capacity of every school to meet its core functions of improving teaching and learning.
