Office of Progressive Support and Intervention
For many children and their families, health and other social services are important prerequisites to academic achievement. All children should have access to a quality comprehensive early childhood system so that they will enter school ready to learn. Schools should also be ready to receive all children and youth and provide them with healthy, safe, and nurturing environments. Teachers and parents should work in partnership to ensure academic achievement. Schools should tap neighborhood/community resources for after-school programs.
