The Rhode Island Department of Education's annual guide, Information Works!, is a comprehensive list of data about Rhode Island's schools. Each school is asked to submit the following information each year:

• Number of full-time classroom teachers

• Number of days these teachers were absent because of illness

• Teacher grievances by category

• Number of students who were enrolled all year

• Total student enrollment (those enrolled at year end plus withdrawals)

• Number of students who enrolled during the year (after the first week of school)

• Number of students who withdrew before school closed (before the last week of school)

• Three highlights

• Up to five goals
