Before and after school programs are becoming more and more important for busy parents. Below are links to programs for younger children and teens. As you begin your search, you may want to refer to Eye On Education’s guides to finding quality after school and childcare programs.

Child Opportunity Zones (COZs) are school-linked centers that bring schools, families, and communities together to promote success in school for all children and youth.
RI 21st Century Community Learning Centers:  programs to create high quality comprehensive out-of-school-time programs that provide students with academic, enrichment and school engagement opportunities designed to complement their regular academic program.

Project GOAL’s (Greater Opportunity for Athletes to Learn) mission is to facilitate the development of Rhode Island's disadvantaged youth through after-school tutoring and soccer-related programs.

New 21st Century Community Learning Centers Request For Proposals for 2008
A request for proposals has been released to provide funds for high quality out-of-school time programs for elementary, middle, and high schools. Eligible applicants include public and non-public schools, community-based organizations, and faith-based organizations. There is a priority for programs to serve high poverty communities and low-performing schools.
Bidder’s Conference:      October 1, 2008
Letter of Intent to Apply:   October 16, 2008
Application Due:               January 15, 2009
