Board of Regents
The Board of Regents is the chief policy-setting body overseeing
elementary and secondary education in Rhode Island. Through its designated powers and
duties, the Board helps shape the course of public education to ensure that all of the
state's children receive the best possible education.
The Regents hold regular meetings on the second and fourth Thursdays of
every month unless otherwise scheduled. All meetings are open to the public.
The Board of Regents does not discriminate on the basis of age, color,
sex, sexual orientation, race, religion, national origin, or disability.
