In response, RIDE has developed the Wellness Collaborative. Facilitated by the RI Wellness Collaborative Coordinator, participating districts and independent schools have been
- Determining the readiness of their wellness policies to comply with the new USDA criteria related to Local School Wellness Policies, to
- Accessing support services based on assessments of individual school and district wellness policies. and
- Developing strategies and policies that address these gaps.
- Guiding districts and schools into adopting and implementing their compliance policies.
