Team Nutrition is a USDA Inititiative to support the Child Nutrition Programs through training and technical assistance for foodservice, nutrition education for children and their caregivers, and school and community support for healthy eating and physical activity.

RI SNAP - Ed provides free nutrition education programs and resources (such as handouts, recipes, lesson plans and professional development opportunities) to SNAP-eligible recipients and the organizations that serve them .
The Healthier US School Challenge
The Healthier US School Challenge (HUSSC) is a voluntary certification initiative which recognizes those schools participating in the National School Lunch Program that have created healthier school environments through promotion of nutrition and physical activity.

Serving Up MyPlate
MyPlate is a new collection of classroom materials that helps elementary school teachers integrate nutrition education into Math, Science, English Language Arts, and Health. This yummy curriculum introduces the importance of eating from all five food groups using the MyPlate icon and a variety of hands–on activities.

This library contains a comprehensive listing of all the resources available through Team Nutrition to schools and child care facilities that participate in the Federal Child Nutrition Programs.
Intended audiences are: Food-service Professionals, educators, parents, child care providers and garden coordinators.
National Food Service Management Institute (NFSMI)
NFSMI is part of the School of Applied Science at The University of Mississippi, is the USDA funded center dedicated to applied research, education and training, and technical assistance for child nutrition programs. The Institute's mission is to provide information and services that promote the continuous improvement of child nutrition programs.
