evaluation. As part of
our Race to the Top grant, we have developed a new evaluation system
focused on professional growth and student achievement.
Transformation takes strong leadership and we are committed to
helping Rhode Island’s educators succeed in implementing a world
class evaluation system.
We are currently seeking an Education Specialist to join our team
that is leading the development and implementation of the Rhode
Island Model Educator Evaluation System.
This position will play a critical role in the development of
state policy, evaluation and support model development, and educator
training and support. We
are seeking candidates who can demonstrate the following:

Excellent project management
skills
-
Excellent analytical and
problem solving skills, including experience working
with qualitative and quantitative data
-
Proven ability to produce
high-quality written communication tools and
resources
-
Strong public presentation
skills, including the ability to provide compelling,
detailed, data-driven responses to questions posed
in training sessions and public forums
-
Evidence of a strong
commitment to educator evaluation reform
-
Deep knowledge of national
educator evaluation efforts and related educator
quality initiatives as outlined in the job
description
