Statewide Student Transportation System
Welcome to the statewide student transportation system for students attending private/catholic/charter/career & technical center or a special education school. If you have any questions regarding eligibility for transportation to one of these schools, please refer to the tab on the left or feel free to contact us at 401-222-5024. For instructions on how to request transportation for your school please read the following:
Private, Catholic and Charter School Transportation Request
Transportation requests for the current year should be phoned to the System Manager’s office at 401-222-5024. See the sidebar link for additional information. Starting April 1, 2010 private and charter school students should follow this link to request transportation for the 2010-11 School year.
Deadline for transportation is August
6, 2010
Transportation
requests received by August 6th will be confirmed via a letter with
your child’s bus stop information, and these letters will be mailed by August 20th.
Transportation request forms submitted after August 6, 2010 will receive a depot
stop location for a temporary bus stop. Parents will be notified of their
temporary stop time and location by phone before the first day of school.
September 13, 2010 will be the earliest a student will receive his/her permanent
bus stop information.
- Pre K students are not eligible for transportation.
Career & Technical Center Students
Transportation requests for career & technical center students are submitted through this
website using the online form. Transportation questions can be answered by the System Manager at 401-222-5024.
Special Education Students
Transportation requests for special education students are submitted by the resident district Special Education Director.
