GOVERNOR CARCIERI ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT OF JAMES A. DIPRETE

4/27/2007 - - Governor Donald L. Carcieri today announced that James A. DiPrete, a member of the Board of Regents for Elementary and Secondary Education since 1997 and its chairman since 1999, will retire by the end of June. DiPrete informed Governor Carcieri last week of his intention to retire.

4/24/2007 - - PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND (April 24, 2007) – The Rhode Island Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (RIDE) and Rhode Island PBS Education Services have formed a partnership to launch a groundbreaking pilot project entitled, “Enhancing GED Instruction through the Use of Video-On-Demand.”
