Description
If a school chooses to use an electronic portfolio system, the professional development plan must include training for teachers in the use of the various technologies needed to upload, organize, and evaluate entries, and to generate reports. Students will also need appropriate training in uploading entries, writing and storing reflections, and collecting entries for the graduation portfolio.

Contact a school that is using an electronic portfolio system for information about the type and amount of technology training needed by teachers, students, and staff to manage portfolios. RIDE is working with a vendor to develop a statewide electronic portfolio system and will provide information on the type of technical skills needed by both teachers and students.
