SurveyWorks AllStars

SurveyWorks All-Stars

More than 65,000 students, educators, and families have participated in SurveyWorks this year, and we are excited to keep that momentum going. The survey is open through March 31, and we encourage all stakeholders - and our parents, in particular - to take the time to give your honest input and let us know what is working and what needs improvement in Rhode Island schools.

Kudos to two of this week's all-star SurveyWorks participants - Hampden Meadows School in Barrington and Alan Shawn Feinstein Middle School in Coventry! At Hampden Meadows, they have 100 percent participation for staff and administrators, 99 percent for students, and 38 percent for families. At Alan Shawn Feinstein, they also have 100 percent participation for staff and administrators, and then 87 percent participation for students and 23 percent for families.

When asked what has helped drive up participation, Hampden Meadows Principal Tracey McGee hosted a Lunch and Learn presentation to teachers, explaining why SurveyWorks is important and how they can support students in filling it out. They set aside time for each grade to take the test at the same time, with additional slots for any student who was absent that day. On the family side, Hampden Meadows parents are reminded about SurveyWorks through a weekly newspaper and in regular contact from the school.
