Want to graduate from high school?

This learning tool helps students and others understand the new Rhode Island High School Diploma System. Why is there a new diploma system? Quite simply, to make sure our students are better prepared to face life after high school.

Greetings

Thanks for stopping by waytogori.org. We're very excited about this Web site, which provides tools for our children to help plan their future.

This section of the site focuses on the state's new high school diploma system. I feel very strongly about this change in the way we're educating our young people because it's the future of our state. We — educators, school administrators, state officials — feel that the new system is responsive to the ultimate needs of our students.

Our children are facing much different challenges than we did growing up and we have to make sure that they're prepared to move on to college or enter the Rhode Island workforce. The new high school diploma program not only has great potential, but recognizes and develops potential. It's meant to be a robust experience that holds more meaning for our teens.

That's why I've made a personal commitment to support the program everyway I can. And by visiting waytogori.org, you're making a similar commitment. Thanks.

Yours truly,
