Office of Multiple Pathways

Welcome to the Middle Level and High School
Model Practices Resource Page

Background

During the several rounds of Commissioner’s Reviews, the staff on these teams noted that many schools and districts have constructed and implemented a variety of programs, projects, protocols, meetings, events, forms, letters and a host of other supportive activities aligned to Rhode Island’s Diploma System and the mandates set forth by the RI Board of Regents. Many considered the work being performed by schools and districts to be quite unique and helpful.

A request was sent to districts in the spring of 2010 to forward to RIDE any aspects of the district’s Diploma System practices that
they would like to share with others in some collective manner. A team of twelve educators worked with RIDE, members of the RI Skills Commission, and RIMLE in the summer of 2010 to review the submissions and to organize this electronic Resource Project.
