What is the RIDE Data Warehouse?
The RIDE Data Warehouse is
the part of the
Comprehensive Education
Information System (CEIS)
that serves both district
and state storage needs.
The RIDE Data Warehouse enables educators, parents, and community
members to use real-time data to apply standards and measures, analyze results, determine
outcomes, explore best practices, and adjust education programs and instructional
procedures based on clean and relevant information. This will
be possible with the use of
such tools as:

Warehouse Goals & Benefits?
- Bring
together the
mountains of
educational
information that
are currently
separate, into a
central
integrated
repository
- Deliver
information to
the appropriate
decision makers
throughout the
state in order
to accurately
assess the
condition of
Elementary and
Secondary
Education in
Rhode Island
Public Schools
- Given this
information,
decision makers
will better be
able to
formulate policy
to direct the
direction of
public education
for the future.
- Assist
Rhode Island
in meeting the
federally
mandated
requirements of
No Child Left
Behind (NCLB).
- Give policy
makers at RIDE
the
information and
tools necessary
to find
correlations
between factors
of affective
educational
practices that
were previous
unknown.

Will greatly aid to RI’s ability to report to the Federal Government
The data-warehouse project will be completed in
four phases over the span of two
years; the warehouse will incorporate different data sets during each phase.
RIDE has amended the contract to include the
Schools
Interoperability Framework (SIF)
implementation to help automate data collections.
Communication is important to us, so we will be sending out updates and further
information as the project proceeds. If you would like to receive these periodic
